New Clients We are always happy to see new faces. Come by some time to look around and get acquainted with our clinic and staff. If you have been to another clinic, please bring a copy of the records so we may have your pet’s full history. You may also call your other clinic to have the records faxed to us. Due to federal law, we must have a veterinary-client-patient relationship in order to dispense prescription medications, give advice, or diagnose your pet. Your pet must be examined by one of our veterinarians to establish this relationship.
Emergencies If you have an emergency after the office is closed, small animals are seen by Angel of Mercy in San Antonio. Their phone number is (210) 684-2105.
If you have an equine emergency, you will call the emergency phone (210) 260-6289 and one of our equine veterinarians will take your call. If they cannot answer immediately, they are probably busy seeing another animal. Please leave a message and they will call you back as soon as possible. Due to the fact our clients cover a large area, it is very difficult for us to make farm calls after hours. Be prepared to haul in or find someone to trailer your horse to our facility for examination and treatment.
Emergencies during office hours will be seen as soon as possible. Please call ahead to let us know you are on your way and the nature of your emergency so we may prepare our staff and any equipment we may need for your arrival.
Payment Plans
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Other payment options are Care Credit, a credit card good at veterinary clinics and dentists’ offices. You may apply on-line yourself or our receptionists can assist you in processing your application.
Adoptions
We are not an animal shelter, however, we have had stray animals who were injured and brought in by Good Samaritans for treatment or clients that were unable to care for their pets anymore due to divorce, transfer or other issues. If you are interested in a pet, please inquire at the front desk. Many of these pets have no major health problems after they are treated and only need a good home. We will post pictures and a little information on these pets as they come in to us.

Our office is open 8-6 Monday thru Friday and 8-12 on Saturdays.
We are closed for major holidays. To help decrease your wait time and keep us on Schedule, you are encouraged to make an appointment. Walks-ins will be accepted, but patients with appointmens will be seen first.Drop off exams are offered for current clients.
The office is open Saturday mornings.
